1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using Lightstats ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of service

Lightstats provides cookie-free web analytics and uptime monitoring. We give you a tracking script to place on your website(s) and a dashboard to view your analytics and monitoring data. Application data is hosted in the European Union; infrastructure and security providers may process technical request data to deliver and protect the service.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Track websites you do not own or have authorization to track
• Collect personal data beyond what the tracking script provides
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service
• Resell or redistribute the Service without permission

5. Plans and billing

Lightstats offers free and paid plans. Paid subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your plan at any time from your dashboard. When you cancel, your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period, then reverts to the free plan.

We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice. Price changes do not affect your current billing period.

6. Usage limits

Each plan includes a monthly pageview limit and a maximum number of websites. If you exceed your pageview limit, we may ask you to upgrade. We will not delete your data or suspend your account without notice.

7. Data ownership

You own your analytics data. We do not sell, share, or monetize your data. If you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed within 30 days.

8. Service availability

We strive to maintain high uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We are not liable for any losses resulting from temporary service disruptions, scheduled maintenance, or events beyond our control.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lightstats shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your data will be permanently deleted within 30 days.

11. Changes to terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a notice on our website. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
